Winscombe game postponed but Dave Neil's lads still collect their trophy.
League Chairman David Callow presented the league trophy tonight at Rover's club after their final fixture away at Winscombe was postponed today as their hosts were unable too raise a team. He then presented winners medals to all the squad.
Skipper Ben Lacey scored over thirty goals whilst he, defender Rob Lidford and fellow striker Dan Flower, all represented Somerset County Youth team. In addition Lacey and Flower have had a number of outings with the first team in the Southern League over the last two years.
Dave Neil and his team who have done such a marvellous job this season. Many of the lads are now eighteen and therefore not available next season so manager, Dave Neil, is already planning for next season. He has blooded a number of sixteen year old's this season and is keen to hear from anyone who will be under eighteen on 1 September 2009 and who wants to be considered for the 2009/10 campaign. More details about player recruitment, trials and pre season training, which will start in mid June, will posted pre season.
