'Gashead' youth manager Darren Paterson felt his side had been taught an important lesson from a Paulton side progrssing as the start of the season looms.

The youthful 'Pirates' team were a goal down after two minutes to a swerving free kick on the right by left back Charlie Rich.

They made it 2-0 in the twentieth minute when good work down the right wing by Chris Lane whose accurate cross found the head of youngster Jamie Taylor tonod home.

The visitors pulled a goal back in the twenty sixth minute when a defence lapse saw the ball run to striker Plummer to slot the ball into the net passed home keeper Courtney Redwood.

Just before half time some great inter changing between Lane, Taylor and Robbie Claridge played in the Lane to shoot home to make it 3-1 to Paulton.

On fifty one minutes  Rick Hulbert finished a through ball from Lane to curl the ball into the net to makeit four for the home side.

Not to be outdone the visitors battled to reduce the arrears, but to no avail.
