First news on plans for next season
The following pre season friendlies have now been agreed: - Thursday 23rd of July v Cadbury Heath - Away Thursday 30th of July v Weymouth - Home (this will also be the Sponsor's night including the draw for next season's shirt sponsor). Saturday 8th August v Tiverton Town - Home Further fixtures against Gloucester City, Bristol Rovers, Radstock Town and Welton Rovers have been agreed in principle but dates and timings have yet to be finalised. On the playing front manager, Andy Jones, is continuing negotiations with a number of the present squad plus a number of potential new signings and details will be announced as soon as possible. He has however confirmed that Jon Beswetherick has not been retained due to his work committments and although invited to pre season training, Jason Hughes, has also been told he can find another club. This follows the recent signing of central defender and assistant manager, Paul Milson. Ben Lacey, who was top scorer in the Somerset Floodlight Youth League last season and captained the side, has agreed to sign to next season. Further updates will be posted when available. |
