News from the AGM.
Bristol Manor Farm and Ashton FC (who will play at Backwell United) were admitted to the league while Shaftsbury and Bridgwater Town have resigned (although in the latter case they hope to rejoin the following season). In consequence there is now an imbalance between the North Division with 9 clubs and the South with 7.
Next season's Premier Division will be; - Bishop Sutton Bitton Weston Super mare Mangotsfield United Tiverton Town Keynsham Town Paulton Rovers Elmore
There will be a new League Cup for next season to be named the Roger Stone Memorial Cup and the draw for the First Round (date to be advised) is as follows: - Keynsham Town v Welton Rovers Portishead Town v Sherborne Bitton v Brislington Cheddar v Radstock Town Paulton Rovers v Tiverton Town Elmore v Weston Super Mare Chard Town v Clevedon Town Wells City v Ashton FC All others (Odd Down/Frome Town/Winscombe/Bristol Manor Farm/Larkhall/Street/Bishop Sutton and Mangotsfield received byes to the next round. The final will be played once again at The Hand Stadium on the 8th of April 2010.
The league have decided to make Sportmanship Awards for each division and the winners were: - Premier Division (to be known as the Joe Diamond Williams award) – Keynsham Town North Division – Welton Rovers South Division – Cheddar |
