Manager Andy Jones ends his search for a striker by re-signing an old favourite.
Dave Burborough (Burbs) who suffered an horrendous injury whilst playing for us in the FA Cup tie at AFC Totton just over 2 years ago has re-signed and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's visit of Bracknell Town.
Dave rejected the offer of a contract at Bristol City, who at the time were managed by Brian Tinnion, to pursue a career in law and joined Rovers where he immediately struck up a very sucessful partnership with Dan Cleverley.
Having spent time at Mangotsfield United working with their physio to get fit "Burbs" signed for Darren Perrin last season but had few opportunities and went on loan to Toolstation Western League club, Bishop Sutton, where he has been able to get fit and get a few goals under his belt.
Dave was extremely popular here during his first spell and I am sure Rovers’ fans will be delighted to see him return. |
